In order to prolong the success Austria Glas Recycling (AGR) focuses on public relation. Target and dialog groups are consumers as well as public waste consulters, media, governmental authorities and all partners dealing with the collecting and recycling of glass packaging.
As the quality of waste glass influences the recycling rate in a very high degree AGR repeatedly explains how to collect waste glass in a proper way, what kind of glass has to be collected and what material must not be put into the glass bottle banks.
Besides regular press releases and newsletters for dialog groups the website www.agr.at serves as an important medium to spread relevant information. The amount of visitors steadily has increased since the start in 2000.
Of high significance is the work of the public waste consulters with whom AGR cooperates intensively.
AGR's communication with kids
In the year 2001 AGR created Bobby Bottle to outreach children. Bobby Bottle is a wizard of glass who explains glass recycling in a funny and magic way. He acts live in schools and on the internet. His experience can be read in the comic book ‘Bobby Bottle and the environment detectives’ (Bobby Bottle und die Umweltdetektive).
