Mission Statement
The collecting and recycling of waste glass is a perfect example of a sustainable business. The Austrian recycling system for glass packaging is one of the most successful worldwide. It is our ambition to hold this position in order to prevent pollution and to be economically and socially engaged.
The use of waste glass in the production of new bottles and jars reduces the need for raw materials and energy considerably. It is our target to increase the percentage of waste glass used to benefit the environment.
All the waste glass collected is used as a secondary raw material to produce new glass bottles and jars of the highest quality. Unfortunately, some waste glass still ends up in landfills. AGR aims to tackle this problem to reduce the need for landfills in order to preserve the environment.
Collecting and recycling waste glass benefits everyone financially. Consequently, AGR endeavours to maximise the advantages of glass recycling by optimising the collection and transport logistics.
AGR is a non-profit making organisation which aims to balance all of its stakeholders’ interests.
As we feel that our employees are our most important resource, we offer training programmes and encourage our staff to attend them. Furthermore, we have created individual working routines to enable our co-workers to balance the demands of their private lives and careers.
